Thank You Keel, for bringing to life the True Hero's of January 6th……….. Howie Liebengood and others deserved more from our entire country. It’s scary to think it’s only been a week since the inauguration and so much damage has been done. The acts of vengeance 47 has been taking should not be overlooked by any of us. Imagine taking the Security Details from former staffers including Dr. Anthony Fauci and his family, not to mention a former Secretary of State under 45’s administration?! There are so many other examples, too long to write here. Our Children and Grandchildren will pay Dearly for Trump’s Vengeance and Criminality. May God forgive us for not trying harder to keep him out of office. 😢🙏🏻

After reading your column today, Keel, I am crying at the injustice for Howie, a very brave man who stood his ground at his post.

I continued to be terrified by what Trump has done and will continue to do. In less than a week, he has already exceeded my worst expectations. I have no delusions of God saving us all. We need to save ourselves by raising our voices, writing, complaining, marching, whatever it takes. And by ceasing to vote so stupidly on national, state and local levels. For those who believe, God gave us the ability to think for ourselves and to make reasonable decisions in the voting booth and elsewhere. Too many were misled and misguided. Most will come to regret their votes. Too late to ask for help now. Evil has Trumped good.

Keel, thank you for this. I did not know Howard, Sr., but I came in contact with him through Jim Cheek. I think Jim was in the same law school class with Senator Thompson and Howard, Sr. My impression from that brief brush with Howard, Sr. is that he was just the man you describe him to be. Where have the Howard Liebengood's and Fred Thompson's and Howard Baker's gone? Everyone is scared of this president. No one is willing to push back on him. He leads by fear and intimidation. What a terrible way to lead anything, particularly your own political party and the country. Someone in the party of Fred Thompson and Howard Baker must right the ship and call this guy's bluff. I don't know that anyone else can do it.

I pray everyday that God will strengthen us to give the legislators that are being pressured to vote the way they may not feel comfortable with, to stand for their principles and support our constitution, as they have vowed to do.

My fear is that the first week is only a foretaste of what awaits the country. I doubt that God intervenes in American politics; if God did, our current situation could not have happened. While I am pro-prayer, I believe that in cases like this action trumps (sorry!) prayer.

Deeply sad. Yes, God save us all. Seems at this point that’s pretty much the only option since all the supposed safeguards in our system have been toppled. Thanks Keel.

Such a tragic, horrific story. How in God’s name did we get here? We have to have hope or we are all lost, but where to start?

Telling the stories and keeping it real, these are critically important. Thank you, Keel.

When the very 1st mention about pardon for all of Trump's rioter pals, I thought of this young man doing his job to protect the citizens of our country. I knew then, he would without malice or forethought pardon them for their misguided loyalty and criminal behavior. Without any regard for this wonderful young life cut short, his actions told American, it's okay to brake the law, murder and pillage. My heart hurts for this family and us.

Keel, this column touches my heart and soul. I had not known the family background surrounding this tragic event. It’s a story that needed to be told, and you told it well. Thanks.

Again, the Golden Boy has blood on his hands. He deserves an Academy Award for acting like he cares about Americans. He’s greedy with power & cares only about himself.
